Restaurant Melita

Melita was once Mljet Island’s Latin name. Here, among the quiet beauty of the landscape, Odysseus was held captive by the enrapturing nymph Calypso. Here, for a long time, Benedictine priests looked after their medieval monastery, nestled on the Islet of Saint Mary, praising God and living in harmony with nature.

Today, in the midst of the peaceful waters of the Great Lake, under the ancient arches of the monastery, our family restaurant welcomes the visitors of the island. With an unparalleled waterfront location at the very heart of Mljet National Park, Restaurant Melita offers a sweet escape from the rest of the world. Immerse yourself in true Croatian hospitality while you take in the stunning views and enjoy our delightful Dalmatian cuisine.
